Porterfield to Moderate 2024 Voices of Leadership Event

MILWAUKEE, WI (October 16, 2024) – Mount Mary’s Voices of Leadership event on Thursday, Nov.,14, will be moderated by CBS 58 reporter Amanda Porterfield.
Porterfield is an award-winning journalist who has covered four states throughout her 19-year career. As an anchor for CBS 58 Milwaukee she helped the station achieve recognition, including award-winning coverage during the Sherman Park Unrest and a Chicago/Midwest Emmy nomination for anchoring and producing the hour-long prime time special, “Milwaukee at a Crossroads.” Porterfield has been named one of Wisconsin’s Most Influential Black Leaders by Madison365. She is also a founding member of Milwaukee Crime Stoppers and currently serves on the organization’s board.
Voices of Leadership is an annual event featuring women thought leaders and change makers. This year’s topic will center around the impact of choice on an individual, community and global scale. The event is open to the public—tickets are available at mtmary.edu/vol.
