Statement from Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin Director of Communications Analiese Eicher.
“Today’s vote by the Assembly Republicans is out of touch, disingenuous and another attempt to ban abortion care in Wisconsin. While Governor Evers has vowed to veto any bill that restricts reproductive rights and freedoms, the consistent attack from legislative republicans on those rights and freedoms is disruptive to health care and PPAWI will continue to work toward protecting and expanding abortion care in Wisconsin.”
This vote does not change the legal status of abortion in Wisconsin. Patients can continue to receive abortion care at PPWI health centers in Milwaukee, Madison, and Sheboygan. Appointments can be made at ppwi.org.
