Packers Welcoming Sam Shields, Brandon Jackson as Featured Alumni this Week
Several former players to greet fans near Lambeau Field on Sunday and Monday
The Green Bay Packers are welcoming back featured alumni Sam Shields and Brandon Jackson for the Packers-Eagles game on Monday, Nov. 10.
On gameday, Jackson will be visiting with fans and signing autographs at surprise locations around Lambeau Field from 5:40 to 6:40 p.m. Shields will be visiting with fans and signing autographs during that same time in the Legends Club on the Associated Bank Club Level, an area accessible to game attendees with suite or club seat tickets.
Additional Packers alumni will also be part of the gameday festivities on Monday. Desmond Bishop and Karl Swanke will be at Titletown for Titletown Gameday Live presented by American Family Insurance before the game. They’ll participate in a question-and-answer session at 4:45 p.m., and will greet fans afterward until 5:45 p.m.
Sam Shields came to the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2010 from the University of Miami. The cornerback progressed rapidly as a rookie, earning the nickel CB job and seeing time as a kick returner. That same season, Shields recorded two interceptions in the NFC Championship Game against the Chicago Bears to help send the Packers to Super Bowl XLV. He spent seven seasons in Green Bay (2010-16), and including the playoffs, he played in 91 games and posted 23 interceptions, tied for No. 2 in the NFL during that span. Though injuries threatened to end his playing career, Shields worked his way back to health and spent the 2018 season with the Los Angeles Rams.
