Packers Announce Roster Moves
The Green Bay Packers signed DL Jordon Riley to the active roster from the New York Giants’ practice squad and signed WR Will Sheppard to the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Wednesday.
Sheppard (6-3, 196), a rookie, joined the Packers in late July and has spent almost all of the regular season on Green Bay’s practice squad and active roster. He played in 55 games at Vanderbilt (2020-23) and Colorado (2024). Sheppard finished with 200 receptions for 2,688 yards (13.4 avg.) and 27 touchdowns. He also returned 18 punts for 131 yards (7.3 avg.). In 2022, Sheppard registered career highs in receptions (60), receiving yards (776) and receiving TDs (nine), earning second-team All-Southeastern Conference honors from The Associated Press and third-team recognition from Phil Steele’s College Football. He will wear No. 82 for the Packers.
