Offense Stifled by No. 1 UConn
HARTFORD, Conn. – Facing its second ranked opponent of the season, the Marquette women’s basketball team (7-4, 2-1 BIG EAST) suffered an 89-53 setback at No. 1 UConn (11-0, 3-0 BIG EAST) on Wednesday night inside PeoplesBank Arena.
UConn jumped out to a 12-6 lead heading into the first media timeout. Following the break, the Huskies went on an 8-2 run to extend the advantage to 20-8 and force a Marquette timeout.
