North Shore Bank Hosts Fido Fun with Kick Off of Dog Days of Summer Event
At “Be Kind” Water Street Installation
MILWAUKEE – North Shore Bank today announced that it is hosting a Dog Days of Summer event on Saturday, July 16 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. The event, part of the bank’s Bank on Kindness® initiative, will be held at the North End branch at 510 E. Pleasant St. in Milwaukee in front of the “BE KIND” statue that was unveiled earlier this summer.
North Shore Bank is partnering with a variety of local organizations to host this dog-friendly event that includes everything from puppy pools to dog treats and toys. Pete’s Pops will provide complimentary “Pup Pops” and have human pops available for purchase.
The Wisconsin Humane Society will also be in attendance to share information on fostering, adopting, and volunteering, and North Shore Bank will be collecting donations from the nonprofit’s wish list. To share more information on Milwaukee’s future dog park located under I-794, the Downtown Milwaukee Dog Park will also be present.
As part of its Bank on Kindness® initiative, North Shore Bank will also be unveiling the installation of a new pet waste collection station that will be available for local dog walkers and owners, near the North End branch.
The public can register for the free event here. Dogs must be leashed while enjoying fido festivities at the event. Dog Days of Summer event is the second monthly event activating the North End “BE KIND” Parklet that was unveiled on June 2, 2022, the official “Be Kind Day” in the City of Milwaukee. The installation will remain up through August, with the final event, North End Community Clean Up, occurring Aug. 27 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
