Supervisors to Receive 2026 Recommended Budget from County Executive
Community members invited to shape the budget, share their voice
MILWAUKEE – On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors will convene to receive the 2026 proposed budget from County Executive David Crowley at its 4:00 PM meeting in room 200 of the Milwaukee County Courthouse. The meeting will be live-streamed on the County Legislative Information Center (CLIC). Chairwoman Marcelia Nicholson encourages residents to engage with the budget process and share their priorities:
Following the presentation, the Board will host several key opportunities for residents to engage with the budget process, including the Finance Committee’s public hearing, the Board’s Annual Public Hearing at the Mitchell Park Domes on October 27th, and numerous town halls and events in Supervisory districts this fall.
The budget process brings together community voices and perspectives in discussions with the Committee on Finance and, later this year, the full County Board. Residents are encouraged to engage by attending or watching these meetings, which are posted online in the County Legislative Information Center and live streamed for accessibility. Follow the County Board’s website and social media channels for ongoing updates and opportunities to get involved.
Dates to know for public input in the budget:
The Committee on Finance–Budget is scheduled to hold three meetings to review and consider budget amendments at 9 a.m. on Oct. 23, Oct. 24, and Oct. 31. Following committee review, the Annual Budget Adoption Meeting of the County Board will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6.
