MILWAUKEE – On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors will convene to receive the 2026 proposed budget from County Executive David Crowley at its 4:00 PM meeting in room 200 of the Milwaukee County Courthouse. The meeting will be live-streamed on the County Legislative Information Center (CLIC). Chairwoman Marcelia Nicholson encourages residents to engage with the budget process and share their priorities:

“Join us in shaping Milwaukee County’s budget — every voice makes a difference,” said Chairwoman Nicholson. “We’ve established core principles—racial equity, preparation, collaboration, sustainability, and decorum—to guide the Board’s decisions on county policies and fiscal matters related to the essential services our residents rely on, so that every resident sees themselves reflected in the county’s budget.”

Following the presentation, the Board will host several key opportunities for residents to engage with the budget process, including the Finance Committee’s public hearing, the Board’s Annual Public Hearing at the Mitchell Park Domes on October 27th, and numerous town halls and events in Supervisory districts this fall.

The budget process brings together community voices and perspectives in discussions with the Committee on Finance and, later this year, the full County Board. Residents are encouraged to engage by attending or watching these meetings, which are posted online in the County Legislative Information Center and live streamed for accessibility. Follow the County Board’s website and social media channels for ongoing updates and opportunities to get involved.
