MTEA President Ingrid Walker-Henry issued the following statement:
“MTEA is proud to endorse candidates who are proven friends of public education and champions of MPS students, workers and families. The candidates our members endorsed today have each shown a sincere commitment to solving the challenges facing MPS and to using their platforms in elected office to advocate for the great public schools Milwaukee children deserve. Each of these candidates has also endorsed the Vote Yes for MPS referendum, the campaign to protect our students from disastrous cuts that right wing special interests and politicians are trying to force into their classrooms.“MTEA members work hard every day to do everything we can to provide our students with the opportunities they deserve, and we offer our full endorsement to these candidates and leaders who fight alongside us in that mission.”
