August 6, 2025 (Milwaukee) Mount Mary University announced that it is partnering with Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) to address critical staffing shortages in education and social work.
Additionally, the agreement enables NDMU undergraduates to seamlessly transition into Mount Mary’s Master of Social Work program, with options to transfer credits and earn the degree fully online. The U.S. Bureau of Labor projects above average growth in jobs for social workers in the next five years, and the partnership affords Notre Dame students a direct pathway not previously open to them.
Both universities share an educational mission rooted in service and social responsibility.
“This partnership in mission paves the way for students from both institutions to fill shortages in these essential areas,” said Mount Mary President Dr. Isabelle Cherney, who added that she was thrilled to sign the agreement with NDMU.
