Monday Keefe Avenue School will receive a special delivery thanks to the community
During the ‘Bronzeville Week Sleepover for Education’ the community came together to raise school supplies and monetary donations for Milwaukee Public Schools.
Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs invites the media to a touching and special delivery thanks to the public’s help. The school supply delivery will be made to Keefe Avenue School on Monday Aug. 28 at 1 p.m.
During the ‘Bronzeville Week Sleepover for Education’ the community came together to raise school supplies and monetary donations for Milwaukee Public Schools. Come Monday, those supplies will be delivered to Keefe Avenue School.
Alderwoman Coggs says, “To see so many people in our community pull together for school children truly warms my heart, this is what community is all about.”
Many families and teachers face a shortage of school supplies each year, the event is expected to be a very joyous delivery.
Alderwoman Coggs says, “For many teachers and children a school year starting can be tough if they don’t have what they need, I am thrilled to help our community start the school year on the right note.”
