MMAC President Dale Kooyenga: Federal Relief is Welcome News After Devasting Floods Impacted Area Residents and Businesses
Sept. 12, 2025 (MILWAUKEE) – The below statement can be attributed to MMAC President Dale Kooyenga on the approval of federal relief for those impacted by last month’s flooding.
“Thursday’s approval of nearly $30 million in federal assistance for flood relief is appreciated and serves as a vital step forward for our community. Last month’s flooding brought unimaginable hardship to families and businesses – many of whom are still picking up the pieces. We were humbled to work on their behalf to advocate for this sorely needed help.
This is more than dollars – it’s a promise that the region will rebuild stronger and more prepared. Let’s continue to work together, not just to recover, but to renew our commitment to each other and to the future of southeastern Wisconsin.”
