MILWAUKEE, WI – On Saturday, November 16, the Milwaukee Food Council and Full Circle Healing invite the community to join them for the fifth annual “Taste of Justice” fundraiser, an evening filled with delicious food, entertainment, and opportunities to support local food justice initiatives. The event will be held from 6 to 8 PM at St. Bernadette School at 8200 West Denver Avenue. With local chefs, small businesses, family-friendly activities, a 50/50 raffle, a wine pull, and a silent auction, the event promises something for everyone.

Tickets are available at $30 for adults and $15 for youth ages 11-17, with children ten and under attending free. All proceeds support Full Circle Healing and the Milwaukee Food Council’s mission to create a more equitable, sustainable, and accessible food system in Milwaukee.

“With this fundraiser, we’re not just raising money – we’re rallying our community around food equity and justice,” said Amy Scales, co-founder of Full Circle Healing. “Our dream is to create a permanent space where we can produce healthy food, support local farmers, and provide healing services to everyone who needs them. Every ticket purchased, and every donation brings us closer to this vision.”

Full Circle Healing: Supporting a Vision for Food and Health Justice

Full Circle Healing is a family-run, community-focused farm and healing center led by Martice and Amy Scales. Their mission centers on food justice, racial justice, and land stewardship. After years of renting farmland, they are ready to establish a permanent home where they can expand food production, offer healing services, and host community events.

“Our vision includes donating 75% of our produce to those in need, remediating farmland, and establishing a space for new farmers to grow and learn,” said Martice Scales. “We believe everyone deserves access to fresh, nutritious food, and this event is a crucial step toward making that happen.”

Milwaukee Food Council: A Collective Approach to Food Systems Change

The Milwaukee Food Council is dedicated to supporting a food system that is community-driven, healthy, and sustainable. Through events, workshops, and summits, they connect and empower stakeholders to work toward a unified goal of food equity in Milwaukee.

“Milwaukee is home to an incredible network of individuals and organizations committed to transforming our food landscape. We’re raising funds to expand our initiatives, support collaboration, and engage more community members in this collective movement,” said Solana Patterson-Ramos, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Food Council.
