Milwaukee Women’s Entrepreneurship Week Kicks Off with a Panel About Entrepreneurial Fit
Milwaukee professionals working in the startup space share their views on launching a new career path
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Milwaukee Women’s Entrepreneurship Week 2019 will kick off with a panel discussion on the pros and cons of making the leap to a startup and how to know when it’s a good fit. Learn about what it is like to embark on a new journey and the hustle of working for a 24/7 startup.
Leaving the safety of the corporate world is a big leap that can be scary to take. On the flip side, some rejoin larger companies after a stint in a startup. Join us March 4th at 8 am to hear from five individuals who followed these paths. Panelists include Izzy Lugo of Milwaukee Misfits, Jenny Weeden of Accelity Marketing, Amanda Guralski of Salesforce, Christina Haidemenos of Socialeads, and Betsy Williamson of Barre Code, with Adam Gabornitz of Northwestern Mutual moderating.
“I had no idea what leaving the corporate world had in store for me, but I couldn’t be happier that I made that decision. It seems scary at first to leave the perceived consistency that comes with big businesses, but I’ve gotten so much out of my time at startups,” says Jenny Weeden, Director of Strategy and Operations with Accelity Marketing and a key organizer of Milwaukee Women’s Entrepreneurship Week.
Attendees should register online via Eventbrite. Get more information on the week and view the full schedule on the Milwaukee Women’s Entrepreneurship Week website. Women’s Entrepreneurship Week is presented and supported by Accelity Marketing, Northwestern Mutual, and Urban Misfit Ventures.
