The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) announces that the intersection of E. St. Paul Avenue and N. Water Street in the Historic Third Ward will be completely closed to traffic from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10 through 6:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017. This closure is necessary for streetcar construction crews to complete work through this busy intersection.

This schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions.

Detour routes include using E. Clybourn (one way heading westbound) and N. Milwaukee St. (two-way traffic) to negotiate this closure. Find more information at themilwaukeestreetcar.com/

In addition, the Historic Third Ward will offer free parking in the structure located at 212 N. Milwaukee St. from Saturday, Nov. 11 at 6:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12. The Milwaukee Public Market at the corner of E. St. Paul & N. Water St. also will have free parking during the same time frame.

DPW appreciates your patience during this project, and advises the traveling public to allow for extra time for detours while traveling to and from this neighborhood.
