Milwaukee, WI — Citizen Action of Wisconsin is hosting a Healthcare Town Hall: A Community Call to Action on Saturday y, January 31st at 11:00 AM at the Martin Luther King Library (2901 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Milwaukee WI).
As Wisconsin faces devastating healthcare cuts under the recently passed federal budget reconciliation act. Citizen Action is leading the fight to protect Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act—and to advance policies that ensure every Wisconsinite has access to affordable, quality healthcare.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature updates on federal and state healthcare proposals, including:
- The devastating Impacts of slashing cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the ACA
- Emerging state-level solutions to help mitigate the damage to Wisconsin’s already broken healthcare system
- Personal stories from community members directly affected by high costs and reduced access to care
- Action opportunities for residents to get involved, share their stories, and make their voices heard
