MILWAUKEE – Friday, March 9 – On Monday, March 12, Transfer Pizzeria Café (101 W. Mitchell St.) turns 10 years old. Celebrations and live music are planned for the week and will coincide with the completion of a major expansion project at the restaurant.

Co-owners and Milwaukee area natives John and Russell Rossetto have been pushing to complete the new addition by mid-March. Several public and private events are already lined up for the space in 2018 starting in late March.

“We have been involved with the planning and build-out of this expansion for awhile. It has been an interesting project as we unearthed pieces of Milwaukee’s past and brought some long-forgotten memories back from the dead, while we updated the expansion for our needs,” said John Rossetto. “It will be nice to finally be able to pull the curtain back on the new event space at a time when we can thank the people who have helped support us over the years.”

Transfer has expanded into the building immediately to the west, increasing its kitchen and prep area footprint, as well as adding a new room for events. The additional kitchen area will focus on take-out and delivery and will include a new storefront entrance for customer pick-up during peak periods. The new ADA compliant event room will allow Transfer to seat up to 60 for dining or host groups of up to 80 for parties, meetings, live music, and community gatherings.

“As a thank you to our friends and supporters over the years, Transfer will offer its typical weekly line-up of live music with extra performers from local bands during our anniversary week,” said Rossetto. “We will bring in Neil Davis, the Transfer House Band with some special guests, and the Mitch Shiner Trio. All of this is open to the public, and we welcome everyone to come celebrate with us and also take their first peak at our new building.”

A full line up of live music is available at www.transfermke.com.
