Milwaukee County Supervisor Sheldon Wasserman Condemns Attacks on Israeli Civilians and Reiterates Support for Israeli People
MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Supervisor Sheldon Wasserman issued the following statement on the ongoing terrorist attacks against Israel:
“This past weekend, Hamas militants in Gaza launched a wide-ranging terrorist attack against the nation of Israel. Thousands of innocent civilians have been murdered, kidnapped, and gravely injured. Numbers continue to rise with each passing minute.
I stand with our federal leaders in condemning these monstrous acts and reiterate my support for Israel and its people. These acts of terror are inexcusable and unjustifiable. In this moment of despair and destruction, I stand firmly behind the Israeli people and full-heartedly support the right of Israel to defend itself from these heinous attacks.
This humanitarian crisis extends far beyond Israel’s border and is truly a sad moment for all of humanity. This is not a distant conflict; the pain and suffering extend around the world to all with loved ones caught in the crossfire. My heart goes out to all those in our community who, like me, have friends and family currently in Israel. Please keep all our Israeli brothers and sisters in your thoughts and wish them comfort in the difficult weeks and months ahead.”
