Milwaukee County Parks is thrilled to announce the schedule for the 2025 Traveling Beer Garden, marking the 12th year of this beloved Milwaukee tradition. This summer, residents and visitors can look forward to the Traveling Beer Garden, which tours various Milwaukee County parks from May through September, transforming each location into a vibrant outdoor beer garden for about two weeks at a time.

Beer gardens, a tradition brought to Wisconsin by German brewers in the 1850s, are outdoor areas where people gather to enjoy beer and food at shared tables under the shade of trees. Embracing this heritage, the Traveling Beer Garden features restored fire trucks converted into mobile beer trucks that serve up craft beers, gourmet sodas, and more.

This year, the tour includes stops at several parks across the county, including the newly added Wilson Park picnic area #1 and the return of the popular Lake Park stop. As always, the Traveling Beer Garden will offer Milwaukee favorites such as various brats, sausage, hotdogs, and soft pretzels from the Milwaukee Pretzel Company.

Parks Director Guy Smith expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s tour: “The Traveling Beer Garden has become a cherished summer tradition here in Milwaukee County. We’re thrilled to add Wilson Park to our lineup and welcome back Lake Park for another season of fun, community, and relaxation. This initiative not only celebrates our local heritage but also brings tangible benefits to our parks system through the revenue generated.”

“I’m excited for another summer of Milwaukee County’s beer gardens bringing our neighbors together and activating our parks,” said Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley. “I’m pleased that Milwaukee County Parks and Sprecher Brewery are teaming up again this year to host the traveling beer gardens for residents and families to enjoy, while also helping generate revenue for parks operations and future investments. I look forward to seeing folks come together for cold beverages and good times at Milwaukee County’s beer gardens this summer!”

Sharad Chadha, CEO of Sprecher Brewery, expressed excitement about the 12th season of the Traveling Beer Garden, stating, “We’re thrilled to continue this beloved Milwaukee tradition in partnership with Milwaukee County. The Traveling Beer Garden is not just about enjoying great beer and food; it’s a celebration of community and shared experiences.”

He continued, “As a cornerstone of Milwaukee, Sprecher is committed to enriching our community. Each year, the garden tours through Milwaukee County Parks, offering a unique way to experience our finest brews in beautiful settings.”

“We look forward to another successful season with Milwaukee County, deepening community ties and creating memorable moments for all.”

At each stop of the tour, an ever-rotating selection of Sprecher craft beer is on tap. While Sprecher remains the featured beverage at the Traveling Beer Garden, we also offer options from other local breweries. Additionally, cider, gluten-free options, and non-alcoholic beverages are available to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.

All standard pour pricing comes with a commemorative glass to take home, adding a special touch to your beer garden experience. Additionally, visitors who bring their own Parks Beer Garden branded (or other) pint glass can enjoy the refill price, making every visit a little more enjoyable and eco-friendly.

The Traveling Beer Garden is a partnership between Milwaukee County Parks and Sprecher Brewery, managed with a commitment to enhancing community life while supporting park improvements through generated revenues.

The 2025 Traveling Beer Garden will kick off on May 14th and will run through September 1st. For the full schedule and more information on each location, please visit https://www.travelingbeergardens.com/
