Milwaukee-Based CIVAL Jewelry Studio To Open New Bay View Location with Personalized Design Experience
A custom fine jewelry destination expanding its presence in one of Milwaukee’s most vibrant neighborhoods
MILWAUKEE, WI — Cival, a woman owned Milwaukee-based jewelry design studio known for its highly personalized, custom ring designs, signature fine jewelry designs, heirloom rework and vintage restoration, will officially open its new Bay View location on May 1 at 2159 S Kinnickinnic Ave, Unit A3.
Founded in 2013 by designer Rae Frye, CIVAL has served the Milwaukee community for over a decade, offering services ranging from jewelry repair and antique restoration to fully custom and made-to-order fine jewelry. The studio is especially known for its collaborative approach to engagement and wedding ring design — working closely with clients to create meaningful pieces that reflect personal stories and individual style.
Unlike traditional jewelry retailers, CIVAL centers its experience around innovation and personalization. Clients can take a hands-on approach to the design process, creating a more intentional alternative to conventional jewelry shopping.
The move to Bay View marks an exciting new chapter for the business, placing the studio in a vibrant, walkable neighborhood known for its strong community of independent businesses and artisan retailers.
“Our goal has always been to create meaningful jewelry that reflects the stories and lives of the people who wear it,” said Rae Frye, founder of Cival. “This new space allows us to expand our custom design services and invite more clients into the experience of creating engagement rings and other special pieces.”
The new location will feature an expanded retail showroom and custom design studio, where customers can book private consultations for bespoke jewelry design, engagement rings, heirloom restoration, and made-to-order pieces. The space will also introduce new offerings, including permanent jewelry walk-in hours, heirloom checkups and discovery sessions, workshops, and other jewelry-centric events creating a more interactive and personalized in-store experience.
Cival has experienced steady growth over the years, supported by a loyal local customer base and an expanding online presence. The new Bay View location will further support the brand’s growth while serving as a destination for customers seeking unique, handcrafted designs.
The grand opening on May 1 will welcome customers and members of the Bay View community to explore the new studio and experience CIVAL’s services firsthand at 7:00pm, and regular operation hours will begin the next day.
