Milwaukee, WI (September 17, 2026). A Milwaukee north side business is a Finalist in the 23rd annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

Fourteen years ago, Natasha Broxton walked into an abandoned warehouse on Milwaukee’s north side and saw what nobody else wanted. A building full of discarded tires and junk. She had no investors, no business loan, and no safety net. She had faith and a plan.

Today, the business she built there, Select Auto Parts & Sales, Milwaukee’s only indoor automotive recycling facility, has been named a Finalist in the 23rd annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business, one of the world’s top honors for women entrepreneurs and executives. More than 1,500 nominations from 56 nations were considered in this year’s competition, with entries scored by more than 200 business professionals worldwide.

The company’s entry, The Building Was Recycled First: From Abandoned Warehouse to 7 Million Pounds Diverted, was recognized in the Reuse and Recycle category.

“The building was recycled first, and it has never stopped. We proved that reuse is not a compromise. It is a business model that serves this community, keeps material out of landfills, and gives an abandoned property a second life.” said Broxton, the company’s founder and CEO.

Select Auto Parts & Sales operates a 125,000 square foot indoor recycling facility, employs ten people, serves more than 455 repair shop accounts, and keeps more than 20,000 quality tested used parts under one roof. The company has kept seven million pounds of material out of landfills.

Every Finalist will ultimately be named a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award winner. Placements will be announced at the awards dinner on November 16 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City, an event broadcast live on Vimeo.
