The Original Lite Beer and Beer Capitol Distributing are once again teaming up with the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) to offer Miller Lite Free Rides ahead of St. Patrick’s Day. Miller Lite Free rides will be available on all MCTS bus routes Saturday, March 16, from 6 p.m. until the end of regular service.

“We are asking consumers to have good taste by celebrating responsibly. And they can do that by enjoying Miller Lite Free Rides on MCTS,” said Diane Wagner, alcohol responsibility manager for Miller Brewing.

Miller Lite and MCTS have teamed up to provide safe, alternative transportation as part of Milwaukee’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations for nearly one million people over the past 26 years. The program has gained the support of local and state law enforcement, elected officials and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Miller Lite Free Rides will also be provided during St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the Twin Cities.

“Anyone heading out to celebrate the holiday a little early, on Saturday night, can take advantage of safe, convenient and free transportation,” said Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele. “Folks can choose to leave their keys at home and instead count on MCTS and Miller Lite Free Rides to get around safely.

“We’re proud to partner again with Miller Lite and MCTS on this longstanding St. Patrick’s Day tradition in Milwaukee,” said Dave Neville, Chief Executive Officer for Beer Capitol Distributing. “We want people to have a great time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day but do so responsibly. Miller Lite Free Rides is an easy and safe alternative to driving.”
