MILWAUKEE – The annual Tavern League of Wisconsin Spring Conference kicks off Monday in Milwaukee, offering tremendous networking and business development opportunities to potential members and businesses seeking to gain inroads into the hospitality industry.

- Two educational seminars offered Tuesday: “Wisconsin’s Wage and Hour Laws: Basics and Beyond” from 1 to 2 p.m., and “Taxes and Audits: What’s Changed?” from 3 to 4 p.m. Both will be held at the Crowne Plaza Milwaukee Airport Hotel.

More information is available by calling Sharon at (414) 975-0547. The conference theme is “Go Hog Wild and Live the High Life with the TLW,” in honor of the 115th anniversaries of Harley-Davidson and Miller Brewing Co.
“We’re thrilled to welcome hundreds of our fellow hospitality industry business operators, who represent a backbone of Wisconsin’s economy,” said Lorie Helm, President of the Milwaukee County Tavern League. “We invite anyone in the hospitality industry, or who is seeking to build relationships there, to attend the Spring Conference and learn how active the Milwaukee County chapter is, and of the many tremendous benefits of membership in the Tavern League of Wisconsin.”
Direct TLW member benefits to restaurant and tavern owners include discounts on insurance, and on products and services used in operating a hospitality business. TLW members can utilize the SafeRide program, which provides thousands of free rides annually to keep impaired drivers off the road.
The Milwaukee County Tavern League has a charitable arm, the MCHA Foundation, that donates money to organizations involved in education, health care and outreach to veterans. The TLW Spring Conference features a raffle for a 2018 Harley-Davidson “48” 115th Anniversary Limited Edition motorcycle to support the MCHA Foundation’s outreach.
