Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett has entered Milwaukee into The Mayors Challenge---a competition organized by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s philanthropic foundation that challenges cities across America to find innovative solutions to problems, improve urban life and make city government work better.

- Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett has entered Milwaukee into The Mayors Challenge—a competition organized by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s philanthropic foundation that challenges cities across America to find innovative solutions to problems, improve urban life and make city government work better.
- Mayor Barrett called on the creative, innovative and dedicated people of Milwaukee to assist the City in the development of its submission.
- More than 100 ideas have been submitted by committed Milwaukeeans addressing two major issues all cities in America face: Food Security and Foreclosures.
- Tonight the top ten submissions will be presented to a panel of judges and public audience. The winning idea, as selected by the panel of judges, will be included in Milwaukee’s submission to the Mayors Challenge.
