Marquette University Office of University Relations honored with CASE Circle of Excellence Award
MILWAUKEE — The Office of University Relations at Marquette University has received a Circle of Excellence Bronze Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) for its Choose Your Major quiz, a microsite targeting prospective students featured on the university’s Undergraduate Admissions website.
The Circle of Excellence is CASE’s premier awards program for higher education marketing communication work. This year’s competition garnered more than 4,000 applications from members in 27 countries, and the work was evaluated by judges who are peers in higher education marketing communications.
“I am very happy for Dwayne to receive this honor as it recognizes the ingenuity and creativity he brought to the project,” said Tom Pionek, assistant vice president of marketing. “The ‘Choose Your Major Quiz’ is a fun and interactive experience designed to digitally engage sophomore and junior high school students and create an opportunity for a direct connection with future students.”
The judges noted that the quiz was a “great example of year-over-year improvement and outstanding ROI for an internal team with a very modest budget.” The reviewers liked the clean, business-to-consumer-style experience and the smart implementation of a call to action.
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education is the global association for professionals in advancement—alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, and advancement services—who share the goal of championing education to transform lives and society. District Five, the Great Lakes District, encompasses Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin, and includes over 400 member institutions and more than 2,500 representatives.
