Maintenance to occur along Center Street Bridge over I-41
Beginning Monday, July 15, crews will be replacing a damaged bridge girder over the I-41/US 45 northbound lanes that was previously hit by an over-height vehicle.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is notifying motorists of upcoming bridge maintenance along the Center Street Bridge over I-41/US 45 in Milwaukee County. Beginning Monday, July 15, crews will be replacing a damaged bridge girder over the I-41/US 45 northbound lanes that was previously hit by an over-height vehicle.
What to expect
- Center Street will have a single lane open for bi-directional traffic
- Intermittent, overnight full freeway closures along I-41/US 45 northbound lanes
- Signed Overnight Detour: Exit at WIS 100 (N. Mayfair Road) à Continue north along Mayfair Road to Burleigh Street à Head west on Burleigh Street to rejoin I-41/US 45 northbound.
