MacIver Statement on Governor Evers’ Decision to Retire

MADISON — The John K. MacIver Institute for Public Policy released the following statement from CEO Annette Olson regarding Gov. Tony Evers‘ decision to not seek re-election:

“Gov. Evers has decided not to run for office again. While he may not be on the ballot next year, his policy failures continue to harm Wisconsin taxpayers and citizens. As he finishes out his term, we will continue to hold Gov. Evers to the highest standards when it comes to accountability and protecting Wisconsin citizens and taxpayers.

As we’ve done throughout Governor Evers time in office, we are ready to continue reminding Wisconsin citizens that It’s Not Working!”
