Liz Sumner Announces Candidacy for Wisconsin State Assembly
Current member of Fox Point Village Board running for 23rd Assembly District
FOX POINT – Liz Sumner, candidate for Wisconsin’s 23rd Assembly District, today issued the following statement:
“As a member of the Fox Point Village Board, I’ve come to know well the issues that our communities face. Today I am announcing my candidacy to represent the 23rd Assembly District. We need a new generation of leadership in Madison. Leadership that will address the issues that affect us on a daily basis like the rising cost of healthcare, attacks on local control, and the state of public education.”
Sumner added, “As an elected official, small business owner, and mother of two young children, I know the issues we, as a community, face each day. I hope you’ll join me in standing up for what we know to be true: our communities deserve better.”
Liz Sumner is a resident of Fox Point, a small business owner, a current member of the Fox Point Village Board, mother of two young children, and is running to represent the 23rd Assembly District in the Democratic primary election on August 14, 2018 and in the general election on November 6, 2018.
