Lindsey Heights Clean-Up Events Rescheduled Until Fall
MILWAUKEE — After successfully hosting four community-driven events to enhance the cleanliness and beauty of neighborhoods in Milwaukee County’s 13th District, County Supervisor Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones announced today that the final events in the series will be rescheduled for the fall season.
Upon announcing this rescheduling, Supervisor Coggs-Jones released the following statement:
“My office’s Summer 2023 Clean-Up Series has been a resounding success, and I’m incredibly grateful not only to the dozens of volunteers who showed up to lend a hand in beautifying our neighborhoods, but also to the community organizations who partnered with us in these efforts!
It’s on us as active members of the Milwaukee County community to take charge if we want to see change in our neighborhoods and schools — change both in nuisance vegetation and nuisance behavior. I feel that if we address these matters and keep up the forward momentum, we will soon see and feel the change, and I’m excited to continue our work in the months to come.
Bearing in mind the very serious issues that are currently under consideration by the County Board, it makes sense to take a slight pause on the final two events in our series, to ensure that everything receives the full attention and care that it deserves. I look forward to seeing everyone at our rescheduled events in the fall!”
