Milwaukee, Wisc. – February 19, 2024 – This Wednesday, February 21st, Third Space Brewing and the Wisconsin Chapter of Pink Boots Society are teaming up for a special collaboration brew day to craft “Like A Girl” IPA, which is set to release on International Women’s Day.

This year’s theme for Women’s History Month, “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion,” resonates deeply within the brewing industry, historically dominated by men. Third Space Brewing proudly boasts a diverse team of women across various departments including brewing, taproom operations, events, and marketing, many of whom hold leadership positions.

“Like A Girl” IPA is a collaborative effort between Third Space Brewing and Pink Boots Society, an international organization dedicated to empowering women and non-binary individuals in the beverage industry through education and support. Each year this beer features a unique hop blend voted on by Pink Boots Society members. For 2024, the blend includes Ahtanum, El Dorado, HBC 638, and Idaho 7 hops, offering a mix of berry, citrus, stone fruit, and tropical aromas. The malt used in this year’s “Like A Girl” IPA was generously donated by Malteurop, further emphasizing the collaborative spirit of this initiative.

Proceeds from the sale of this beer contribute to the Pink Boots Wisconsin Chapter, aiding in their mission to provide scholarships and educational opportunities for their members.

Last year, funds raised by Like a Girl IPA sales helped enable Pink Boots Society members to embark on an educational trip to Winona, Minnesota, where they toured the Malteurop malt facility, and to Four Winds Hop Farm in Fitchburg, WI. Additionally, one lucky member received a scholarship opportunity to attend the Briess Malt & Brew Workshop in Manitowoc, WI.

Samantha Danen, Third Space Brewing’s Production Manager and Milwaukee’s first woman craft brewer, shared her enthusiasm for the event, stating, “At Third Space Brewing, we are honored to host our 4th Collaboration Brew Day dedicated to supporting the Pink Boots Society. This event will unite Pink Boots members from across Wisconsin in a celebration of community and craft. We believe that gatherings like this serve as inspiration and create pathways for future generations of women and non-binary individuals within the brewing industry.

Join Third Space Brewing on Wednesday, February 21st, for a full day of brewing festivities and interview opportunities with Pink Boots members and the women of Third Space Brewing.
