Legendary KC & The Sunshine Band to Headline Festa Italiana Saturday, July 20

MILWAUKEE – April 24, 2019 – Festa Italiana organizers are excited to welcome the iconic American disco and funk band KC and the Sunshine Band as a headliner of this year’s festival. The Grammy Award-winning band will headline Festa Italiana Saturday, July 20 at 9 p.m. at Henry W. Maier Festival Park (Summerfest grounds).

With over 100 million records sold, three Grammy Awards and an American Music Award, Festa-goers can dust off their disco shoes and shake until they drop with one of music’s most iconic groups! Celebrating 40 years of getting people on the dance floor, KC and the Sunshine Band defined the sound of the 1970s and is hailed as one of the decade’s most progressive bands, creating a groove that still resonates in modern pop music. The unique fusion of R&B and funk, with a hint of Latin percussion resulted in an impressive string of hits like “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s The Way (I Like It)” and “Shake Your Booty.”

Festa Italiana takes place Friday, July 19 – Sunday, July 21, at the Henry W. Maier Festival Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront.
