Larry Miller Announces Endorsement from IBEW Local 494
IBEW a willing partner with MPS, believes in Miller’s vision for working people
MILWAUKEE – Larry Miller, vice president of the Milwaukee Public School Board, today announced the endorsement from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 494 in his bid for reelection.
Dean Warsh, Business Manager for IBEW, said, “We strongly support Larry Miller for reelection to the Milwaukee Public School Board. He understands the need for students in MPS to have access to apprenticeships and knowledge of the trades so they can enter the workforce with the skills to build our communities. Larry has been a voice of working people, and we look forward to continuing working with him as our partner in the years ahead.”
Miller said, “I’m honored to have the support of IBEW and the working people who work hard everyday to provide critical services to our community. I look forward to working with IBEW and strengthening the partnership with MPS so we can ensure that any student who wants a good-paying job has access to one upon graduation.”
Larry Miller is currently the vice president of the Milwaukee Public School board and has been representing Milwaukee’s 5th district for the past eight years. He resides on the city’s east side with his wife, Ellen Bravo. The general election is Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
