MILWAUKEE (March 16, 2021) – Kane Communications Group, a research-driven public relations and integrated marketing firm, has been recognized in Inc. Magazine as number 141 on the 2021 Inc. 5000 Regionals: Midwest list. This prestigious ranking lists the fastest-growing private companies in 12 midwestern states. Born of the annual Inc. 5000 franchise, this regional list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the Midwest economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses.

“When I started Kane, my vision was to use communication to help create a world built on truth and integrity,” said Kimberly Kane, President and CEO of Kane. “I couldn’t have imagined the explosive growth we’ve seen in the past few years. I’m grateful to our clients who turn to us to help them build, activate and protect their reputations and our employees who serve as thought partners who drive progress every day. Our growth would not be possible without them.”

The companies on the Inc. 5000 list show stunning rates of growth across all industries in the 12 Midwest states. Between 2017 and 2019, these 250 private companies had an average growth rate of 199 percent and, in 2019 alone, they employed more than 43,000 people and added more than $11 billion to the Midwest economy.

Founded in 2013, Kane Communications Group has experienced significant growth in the last three years. Kane’s core values of curiosity, ingenuity, empathy and teamwork have helped the company build true partnerships with its clients and create a culture where employees can thrive. Kane continues to establish itself as one of Milwaukee’s and now the Midwest’s fastest-growing firms.

Kane is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women. Kane is also certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in Wisconsin, under a Unified Certification Program (UCP).

Kane was listed among the rest of the midwestern companies on an interactive database with company profiles that can be sorted by industry, metro area, and other criteria, which can be found at https://www.inc.com/inc5000/regionals/midwest.

“This list proves the power of companies in Midwest states no matter the industry,” said Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “The impressive revenues and growth rates prove the insight and diligence of CEOs and that these businesses are here to stay.”

More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000 Regionals

Methodology

The 2021 Inc. 5000 Regionals are ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2017 and 2019. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2017. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2019. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2017 is $100,000; the minimum for 2019 is $1 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons.
