Kam Jones Consensus Second Team All-America Selection
Senior guard ninth player in program history to earn honor
Marquette guard Kam Jones has earned Consensus Second Team All-America honors after being named to both the NABC and USBWA All-America teams on Wednesday morning.
The Memphis native earned NABC Division I All-America Second Team accolades and was tabbed USBWA Second Team All-America. Earlier in the month he was named second team by the Sporting News and on Tuesday was tabbed second team by Associated Press, making him a consensus selection in a point system utilized by the NCAA.
Tyler Kolek is the most recent player to claim consensus accolades, claiming second team in 2022-23 and first team in 2023-24.
Jones is the ninth player in Marquette history to garner consensus honors, joining Kolek, Markus Howard (2018-19 and 2019-20), Dean Meminger (1970-71), Jim Chones (1971-72), Earl Tatum (1975-76), Butch Lee (1977-78), Sam Worthen (1979-70) and Dwyane Wade (2002-03).
Only Kolek and Howard have claimed consensus accolades in back-to-back seasons.
