Johnson Controls announces three-year pledge to Milwaukee’s Arts Community
MILWAUKEE, May 3, 2023 – Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI), the global leader for smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, today announced the Johnson Controls Foundation’s three-year commitment to the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF). The pledge, totaling $1,650,000 through 2025, was announced by Johnson Controls Chairman and CEO George Oliver at the company’s annual UPAF employee giving campaign kickoff.
In addition to annual contributions, the foundation also will designate a portion of the pledge to various UPAF members, affiliates and community impact programs, including UPAF’s Connect and Bright Minds initiatives, with a particular focus on programming in neighborhoods surrounding Johnson Controls’ headquarters in Glendale, Wisconsin. Johnson Controls also will continue its Milwaukee workplace giving campaign, in which the Johnson Controls Foundation will match all employee gifts.
“Johnson Controls is consistently one of the top donors to the United Performing Arts Fund, and we are pleased to have them lead the way with a multi-year commitment through 2025,” said UPAF President & CEO Patrick Rath. “UPAF’s Members and Affiliates are still in the midst of recovering from COVID-19-related revenue losses and corporate support from organizations like Johnson Controls is critical to continued recovery for years to come.”
