MILWAUKEE, Wis. (May 15, 2024) – Jazz in the Park, presented by Johnson Financial Group, returns to Cathedral Square Park starting Thursday, June 6, at 5 p.m. For 10 weeks through August, East Town Association will host a variety of notable local musicians at the Jazz in the Park stage. In addition to weekly performances, attendees can expect a curated drink menu and popular local food truck options.

“We’re thrilled to once again use Cathedral Square Park to bring the community together and celebrate the importance of music throughout the diverse Milwaukee community,” said Eddie Sturkey, executive director of East Town Association. “Jazz in the Park has been an institution in the Milwaukee community for over 30 years and we’re proud to keep this tradition alive for another season.”

The summer concert series will open with Bonifas Electric Band featuring Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Brian Lynch. Milwaukee’s own Bonifas is an accomplished jazz guitarist who has toured, recorded albums and jammed with the best for over 50 years. Other notable performers this season include the 2024 International Blues Challenge second place winner and best guitarist the Stephen Hull Experience on July 25, People Brothers Band on June 20 and De La Buena closing out the season on Aug. 29. Jazz in the Park is again pleased to partner with Fresh Coast Jazz Festival, performing Aug. 1.
