East Town Association Cancels June 11 Cathedral Square Market Due to Wind Risk, Jazz in the Park Goes on Rain or Shine with Adjustments

BD Greer's Divas and Jazz performance ready to move indoors to Electric Lime Taqueria if needed

By - Jun 11th, 2026 11:53 am

MILWAUKEE: Due to the risk of strong wind gusts, East Town Association has cancelled tonight’s Cathedral Square Market at Cathedral Square Park. With so many vendor tents on site, the organization made the call to prioritize the safety of vendors, staff, and attendees.

As for Jazz in the Park, the show will go on, in one way or another. BD Greer Presents: Divas and Jazz is ready to perform rain or shine. Should conditions become severe, the performance will move indoors to Electric Lime Taqueria at 811 N. Jefferson Street, adjacent to Cathedral Square Park, which has graciously opened its back room and stage for an indoor show. The performance is scheduled for the regularly scheduled time of 6 PM.

East Town Association will monitor conditions closely and provide an update on tonight’s Jazz in the Park concert on social media and at easttown.com closer to show time.

East Town Association thanks the team at Electric Lime Taqueria for their willingness to step up and keep the music going. Jazz in the Park and Cathedral Square Market will return next Thursday, June 18 for Long Live the Queen featuring Respect! A Tribute to The Queen of Soul. Cathedral Square Market begins at 3 PM and music starts at 6 PM.

Whether you make it to Cathedral Square, there are many wonderful bars and restaurants within close proximity to the park, many who will have live music, including Foy’s, BLU at Pfister and Saint Kate’s.
