“It’s Budget Season and I’m Listening!”
Rep. Deb Andraca Announces Budget Listening Sessions
Madison, Wis. – State Representative Deb Andraca announced two budget listening sessions, one in Milwaukee County and another in Ozaukee County. The listening sessions are opportunities for 23rd District constituents to learn more about the budget process and to have their voices heard about their most urgent state budget priorities or concerns.
“The state budget will have an impact on every Wisconsinite, so it is important for elected representatives to hear directly from our constituents,” said Andraca. “Spending our tax dollars is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly. I look forward to learning more about the projects and programs that matter most to the people I represent in the State Legislature.”Governor Tony Evers released his proposed biennial state budget in February, and over the next few months lawmakers and members of the Joint Finance Committee will revise the budget into a compromise bill for the Governor’s signature. With a record $7 billion surplus, the Governor announced that Wisconsin is in the best fiscal position in its 175 years of statehood.
