Horicon Marsh Explorium Celebrates 10 Years

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) invites the public to join DNR staff and partners Saturday, Oct. 11 for a 10th anniversary celebration of the Horicon Marsh Explorium, part of the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center.
The day will feature a variety of activities highlighting the history of the marsh, the recreational opportunities it provides the public and the conservation efforts happening on the property. Scheduled activities will run from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
A food truck will also be on site from 11 a.m. until sold out.
All programs are free and open to the public.
The Explorium, completed in August 2015, offers guests the opportunity to get a glimpse of life at Horicon Marsh thousands of years before European settlement and witness how the current wetland came to be through a series of narrated, interactive exhibits.
