Hollander Breaks Javelin Program Record at Badger Challenge Friday
Golden Eagles second-to-last meet of outdoor regular season
MADISON, Wis. – Marquette University track & field sophomore Tessa Hollander broke the program javelin record with a 42.32-meter throw at the Badger Challenge on Friday. The record was previously held by Kelly Magennis, who had a 42.22-meter throw in 2009 at the Marquette Invitational.
Aaron Hughes won the 100m with a time of 10.76 seconds.
Sophie Herriot finished third with a mark of 3.82 meters in the pole vault. Mila Puseljic took second in the long jump with a season-best mark of 5.55 meters.
Norah O’Brien finished first in the 400m with a PR of 57.91 seconds. Frankie McGee finished second in the same event at 49.58 seconds.
Annika Bynum finished second in the high jump clearing 1.69 meters. Kaylee Hopp was second in the triple jump at 11.11 meters.
Emma Coon ran the 3000m steeplechase for the first time in her career, finishing third at 11:05.11. John Moschella ran a 1:00.11 400 hurdle race to finish first.
Julia Beck took first in the 100 hurdles at 14.57 seconds. William Waterstradt finished third in the 110 hurdles at 15.17 seconds.
