Heritage Senior Living names Tammy Schafer as new Vice President of Operations
Schafer, who holds a bachelor’s in gerontology and master’s in business management, has acted in a variety of leadership roles in the senior living sphere.
West Allis, WI (August 14, 2019) – Heritage Senior Living today announced that Tammy Schafer will be joining the company’s executive team as their new vice president of operations. With 23 years of experience in the senior care industry, Schafer will be responsible for oversight of the company’s 16 Wisconsin communities, which include independent, assisted, enhanced assisted and memory care communities.
Schafer, who holds a bachelor’s in gerontology and master’s in business management, has acted in a variety of leadership roles in the senior living sphere, including president and CEO at Saint Simeon’s Episcopal Home, senior vice president of operations at Evergreen Senior Living, and senior executive director at Bradford Village Retirement Community.
As vice president of operations, Schafer will work collaboratively with the communities, corporate office and executive leadership teams to enhance Heritage’s culture, implement improvement strategies and aid in staffing and employee education. Areas of focus will include monitoring and improving resident satisfaction; working with the quality department to improve quality of care; and assisting with employee retention. Schafer will also be involved in projects related to new communities at the growing company.
