Haunted Halloween on Historic Downer Avenue

Milwaukee, WI (October, 2024) – Returning to the Historic Downer Avenue Business Improvement District on Saturday, October 19th, the Annual Haunted Halloween event brings fun, family and fantastic pumpkin carving to Downer Avenue! The Historic Downer BID is excited to host the annual Halloween event for the community from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Activities will include face painting both outside of Nehring’s Sendik’s as well as inside of Bel Air Cantina, balloon creations by Just 4 Fun and a pumpkin carving contest by over 13 of Downer Avenue’s local businesses.  Breadsmith will be handing out free chocolate cookies again this year and Boswell Books will be hosting Silvia Acevedo, from 2:00-2:30pm, contributor to The Haunted States of America and Geo Rutherford at 3:00pm, featuring Spooky Lakes: 25 Strange and Mysterious Lakes That Dot Our Planet.  

Participants are encouraged to dress in costume and trick or treat at the multiple participating merchants!  This family-friendly Halloween event is geared towards participants of all ages!
