Gunpowder Adds Three More to its Dynamic and Growing Team
DELAFIELD, Wis. (Feb. 16, 2021) — Gunpowder Inc., a leading lifestyle marketing communications agency, announces the addition of Kate Grodsky, Justin Brouillard and Jake Cripe as the newest members of the quickly expanding public relations and account service teams representing some of the nation’s most recognized consumer outdoor and lifestyle brands.

Kate joins the team as a public relations supervisor. Before joining the team in November, Kate led PR strategy and media relations for several leading Wisconsin brands including some of Gunpowder’s favorite things: beer and sub sandwiches. At Gunpowder, Kate will lead earned media strategy, outreach and execution for THOR Industries, CHARD/Nesco, SIONYX and Q30 Innovations.
Justin brings a diverse background to his role as public relations manager and resides in the beautiful state of Vermont. With more than ten years of experience in civil engineering and entrepreneurship, he will continue his devotion to, and expertise in, the outdoors by supporting Gunpowder fishing and hunting clients, including Johnson Outdoors, Pure Fishing and Academy Sports + Outdoors. Justin joined the team in December, and has brought a fresh perspective to the agency’s content creation division while sharing his vast experience writing for some of the top outdoor publications, including In-Fisherman and Bassmaster.
Jake, who recently joined the team as an associate account director, has spent the last seven years working on everything from batteries and meat sticks to snowplows. At Gunpowder, Jake will take on two of the agency’s leading brands: Pure Fishing and X2 Batteries, the private label automotive and marine performance battery brand owned by Batteries Plus. Jake’s experience working with outdoor brands is an ideal fit with the Gunpowder client roster.
The three new hires all joined Gunpowder in the fourth quarter of 2021 or first quarter of 2022.
