Governor Scott Walker and First Lady Tonette Walker Host Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Executive Residence
Governor Scott Walker and First Lady Tonette Walker kicked off the holiday season today by lighting the Christmas Tree at the Executive Residence.
Madison – Governor Scott Walker and First Lady Tonette Walker kicked off the holiday season today by lighting the Christmas Tree at the Executive Residence.
“This truly is the most wonderful time of the year, and we really enjoy the holiday season here at the Executive Residence,” Governor Walker said. “Tonette and I are excited to light the Christmas tree and share the festive decorations tonight, and we wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.”
“Lighting the tree tonight really gets everyone in the Christmas spirit,” First Lady Tonette Walker added. “The holiday magic here at the residence is made possible through the generosity of our holiday designers, and we thank them for their hard work putting together the beautiful interior and exterior decorations.”

- Designs of the Interior of Green Bay

Governor Scott Walker and First Lady Tonette Walker have partnered with Second Harvest Foodbank and the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s Big Bundle Up Campaign again this year, promoting selflessness and generosity during the holiday season. Non-perishable food items and warm weather items, including new or gently used mittens, hats, scarves, coats, sweaters, jackets, and snow pants are happily accepted at the residence before and after the tours and will be donated to those in need.

- Wednesday, December 9: Noon – 2:00 p.m.

- Saturday, December 12: 9:00 a.m. – Noon
The Executive Residence is located at 99 Cambridge Road on Madison’s northeast side in the Village of Maple Bluff. Driving directions can be found here.
Tours are free to the public, and cameras are allowed. Parties of 20 or more are asked to make a reservation by calling (608) 246-5501. Parking is available directly outside the residence gates. The Executive Residence is handicapped accessible, and handicapped parking is available upon request at the time of arrival.
