Gov. Tim Walz to Join WisDems Next People v. Musk Grassroots Town Hall in Eau Claire
MADISON, Wis. — On Tuesday, March 18, Gov. Tim Walz will join Wisconsin Democrats for a People v. Musk grassroots town hall event in Eau Claire. Wisconsinites will gather to hear from Gov. Walz and featured speakers on the influence of Elon Musk in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, where Musk-backed groups have already poured in $10 million to bankroll extreme right-wing politician Brad Schimel’s campaign.
Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler issued the following statement:
“On April 1, Wisconsinites have one of the first opportunities to fight back against Elon Musk’s attacks on our livelihoods and our democracy by rejecting Musk’s hand-picked candidate, Brad Schimel. Wisconsin Democrats are thrilled to welcome Gov. Tim Walz back to Eau Claire for our next People v. Musk town hall event to highlight Musk’s multi-million dollar influence in this race. While Republican politicians like Derrick Van Orden might be too chicken to face constituents, Democrats are showing up—and with the help of our neighbor Gov. Tim Walz, we’re fighting back.”
