Giannis Antetokounmpo Named Eastern Conference Player Of The Month For January
MILWAUKEE (Feb. 4, 2025) – Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for January, the NBA announced today. This is Antetokounmpo’s first Player of the Month honor this season and the 11th of his career.
Antetokounmpo tallied a league-high 15 double-doubles in January to continue his season-long streak of 19 consecutive double-doubles, which is the longest active streak in the NBA this season and the second-longest of his career. His 13.2 rebounds per game last month (4th in NBA) tied the second-most he’s averaged in a January in his career and led the Bucks to an average of 46.2 rebounds per game in January (5th in NBA).
Antetokounmpo is averaging a career-high 31.8 points (2nd in NBA), 12.2 rebounds (5th in NBA) and 5.9 assists per game while shooting 60.8% from the field (8th in NBA) this season. He has scored 30+ points in 28 games this season (2nd in NBA), including a league-high 26 30-point double-doubles. Named a starter for the 2025 NBA All-Star game last month, Antetokounmpo will make his ninth consecutive All-Star Game appearance and start on Sunday, Feb. 16, in San Francisco.
