MILWAUKEE, Wis. (August 4, 2016) – Jazz in the Park, presented by Columbia St. Mary’s, is in full swing this summer at Cathedral Square Park, offering free entertainment every Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. Given the recent rise in outdoor temperatures, the East Town Association is introducing new happy hour drink specials for the remainder of the season.

Now through Thursday, Sept. 1, attendees can purchase $3 beers and receive $1 off Stone’s Throw wine by the glass or bottle during Jazz in the Park’s happy hour from 5 – 6 p.m. Attendees can simply mention “Hot Jazz and Cold Beer” when ordering to take advantage of the end-of-summer drink discounts.

2016 End-of-Summer Jazz in the Park Schedule:

Aug. 4 Kelli & The Soulmates
Aug. 11 The Jimmys
Aug. 18 Chicago Tribute Anthology
Aug. 25 Paul Cebar Tomorrow Sound
Sept. 1 Charles Walker Band

“Although the temperatures are warm, our new drink specials are intended to keep our guests cool and comfortable,” said Kim Morris, Executive Director of East Town Association. “We’re pulling out all the stops to encourage the community to continue supporting us and help end our 25th season on a high note.”

Established in 1991, Jazz in the Park remains a popular hotspot for music lovers to celebrate during the warm summer months. The free event attracts over 8,000 attendees each week and offers food and beverage options from local vendors. All proceeds from the concert series are returned to the community through neighborhood improvement programs and civic events such as the popular Cathedral Square Market and Bastille Days.
