Democratic Party of Wisconsin Statement on Donald Trump Visit to West Salem
(WISCONSIN) — In response to President Donald Trump’s upcoming visit to West Salem, Wisconsin, Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Philip Shulman released the following statement:
“Trump’s visit to western Wisconsin will only highlight his four years of failed economic policy that has shuttered thousands of farms, gutted vital industries, and put China’s interests ahead of Wisconsin’s at every turn. Now, in the middle of the pandemic, Trump’s failure to address COVID-19 has continued to decimate our economy and has caused a surge in the infection and death rate. At the same time, Trump has continued his attacks on our health care and protections for people with preexisting conditions, even during a pandemic. Voters are tired of Trump’s broken promises, and are ready to put Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House to build back Wisconsin stronger than it was before.”
