MILWAUKEE – Today, Democratic Assistant Minority Leader, Representative Kalan Haywood announced his endorsement of Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley in the Democratic primary for governor of Wisconsin.

Rep. Haywood highlighted Crowley’s success working with the legislature and delivering real resources for people in communities across the state.

“After spending seven years in the state legislature, David Crowley understands how Madison works and he knows how to get things done. Crowley has a proven track record of bringing people together and delivering real results,” said Rep. Kalan Haywood. “He understands the challenges our communities face because he’s lived them, and he’s never stopped fighting to make government work for everyday people. I’m proud to endorse him for governor because Wisconsin needs a leader who puts people first and knows how to get things done.”

Rep. Haywood also emphasized the urgent need for good-paying jobs as families struggle with rising costs fueled by chaos in Washington.

“Families are feeling the pinch from rising costs and uncertainty coming out of Washington and they need a leader fighting to make life more affordable for them,” said Rep. Haywood. “As County Executive of Wisconsin’s most populous and diverse county, David Crowley created thousands of good-paying jobs, he knows how to grow the economy in a way that benefits everyone.
