Dangerous drivers be warned
Statement of Alderman Cavalier Johnson - April 30, 2018
I wholeheartedly support the traffic enforcement partnership announced by Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales. This epidemic of reckless driving, speeding, hit-and-runs and other irresponsible behavior behind-the-wheel has got to stop. In my district, I have seen families lose loved ones or constituents injured so severely that their lives will never be the same. This is unfortunately a microcosm of incidents occurring in many parts of the city. With Milwaukee Police Department, Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, and Wisconsin State Patrol teaming up, I am hopeful these aggressive, unsafe drivers will be held accountable.

Oh look.. Barrett is putting together another “task force”… this time to combat the rash of reckless drivers.
This is Barrett’s M.O.: Problem in the city? Put together a “task force” and hold a press conference; say a few words about how you’re cracking down and going to be tough on said problem, and then have a wonderful handshaking photo op for the media…
… and then proceed to do nothing about the problem.
As a lifelong Milwaukeean, I have to agree with skipjack.
