Cream City Foundation Brings Back Business Equality Luncheon to The Pfister Hotel After Two-Year Hiatus
MILWAUKEE – Cream City Foundation (CCF) is excited to bring back its largest yearly event, the Business Equality Luncheon (BEL), to the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee on Friday, October 7th. The event, the first in-person version since 2019, will feature the Mayor of Milwaukee, Cavalier Johnson and Elle Halo as its keynote speakers.
“I am excited to announce the return of the Business Equality Luncheon – our biggest event of the year- after a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 Pandemic,” CCF President & CEO DJ Quam said. “We look forward to connecting with our Business and Community Partners at the beautiful Pfister Hotel, and are especially humbled that Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson and local community leader Elle Halo will join us and share their hopes and vision for the future of the LGBTQ+ community in the Milwaukee area.”
“I’m excited to be a keynote for this year’s BEL as it returns post pandemic and as the social justice landscape has changed what it means to work and to be inclusive to workers forever,” Halo said. “Our labor our time our health and wellness are all connected. I am happy to be a speaker this year honoring historic[al] work for the QTPOC community of Wisconsin and to continue to take seats at new tables and open doors for womxn like myself.”
